Click to left “Thanks”

I found this button on UXMovement.com while reading an article on Design Patterns. It was crammed at the end of the article surrounded by a clutter of other buttons.

The text of the button reads: 

I hovered over it, looking for a link to give me a clue what it’s about and an equally perplexing message popped up.

Needless to say, I don’t click on mysterious brown buttons with incomprehensible text prompts.
